4. Observe for 15 minuets after school everyday for as many days as i need to to get the information i need.
5. Count how many are left from when i put them in. (Put 30 of each)
Data
My backyard: We have something that looks like a bird bath, and we have lots of grass. Also we have bushes deer and my dog ginger.
thanks for the feeder Tommy.
I don't have the food on separate sides of my milk carton feeder. i have them mixed together with each other. Maybe since i have them mixed the birds will eat both. There's not really a lot of food in the feeder. I wonder if the birds will even notice the difference between the two. Facts:I learned that birds have taste buds, but there senses arnt as keen as mammals. So im wondering how big the diffrence will be in food eaten since they can't taste the diffrence that well. I am not sure if they can even fit cherrios in there mouth. The cherrios i have are really big, but if they can i think they will like them better.
DAY ONE:( well i started on Sunday, but i didn't have a real feeder till Tuesday afternoon). So on Tuesday i didn't get any birds i saw some but they didn't go for my feeder. I think that it has to be there a while to get established. Also i don't think we have had a bird feeder before so my house isn't exactly the bird hot spot. Maybe if i keep it up for a while more will come. Cant wait till day 2.
Day Two: I didn't get to observe Wednesday or Thursday because i had game or other late obligation.
Day three: On friday i saw little birds and i feel like as it got colder i saw less.
Day Four: saturday it snowing and i didnt get anything and also it snowed into my biird feeder.
Results: My results are i think that since the birds know i dont usually have food they didnt look for it in my yard. And th last few day all the food was frozen so they couldnt reallt eat it.
